2 weeks!?!

It's been two weeks since my last post! Unacceptable. Let's catch up.
*** Last Sunday was Grandparents Day ***
We feel truly blessed to have such wonderful grandparents for Bella to love. They are each so special to her and we are SO appreciative for all they do for Bella and our family. We had a brunch in their honor to celebrate the special day.
Of course Bella was the center of attention. And she rolled 3 times in a row - for the first time!
Bella gave Grandpa children's paint, brushes and oil pastels. Grandpa is very talented and B hopes to spend time with Grandpa in his shop learning from him one day!

Grandma plans to have special tea parties with Bella so B had monogramed aprons made by Theresa so they can bake and prepare for their parties! She also gave Grandma and wonderful book - Tea for Ruby!

Bella and Grams spend very special time together on Thursdays & Fridays while Mommy goes to work. Now that Bella & Grams are starting to go on fun outings during the day, Bella decided a personalized diaper bag full of goodies would be perfect!

We enjoyed the morning with the family!

And also enjoyed a quiet afternoon full of naps & watching the Cowboys!

*** Bella went to the doctor!***
Bella went for her 6 month check up this week. She is doing very well and is our chunky monkey!
She weighs 19 lbs 12 oz and is in the 95th percentile for weight!
She is 27-3/4" long and is in the 95th percentile for height!
B got her shots (no fun!) and also got her first flu shot.
She woke up sick the morning of the doctor's appointment and we had a few icky days/nights with fever, no sleeping and many tears. She's much better now and is back to her cheery self!

We also went to the GI doctor and got another good report. We were told that we could stop thickening her formula (which originally we started to help with her reflux) and so far it's going well! She's eating her veggies & fruit like a champ. We no longer give her cereal, and have replaced it with oatmeal & she really likes it!
We go back to the GI doc in a few months and will get Bella tested for milk allergies (along with other common allergies). Hopefully we get good results and can transition her to milk once she's 1!

*** in other news ... ***
Bella has been sleeping on her belly at night, instead of crying until we rolled her back over! :)
Bella is doing really well and is starting to sit for a few minutes without support! She also has started grabbing and playing with toys while she's sitting.
I've found a new favorite place to take photos! This is Tyler's rocking chair from when he was a baby. Too cute!

Bella is able to roll half way across a room now! :)

And, thanks to Aunt Jen, Bella had her first sip of water from a water bottle! :) Bella loved it! Although most of it ended up on her onesie.
And .... two more random photos! :)

Tyler and I have been working on this house again. I took some photos and will post some "before" and "after" pictures soon! :)

  2. Very cute! I still cant' get over how big she is. I love how several pictures show her belly hanging out or snaps that won't snap. :) I told Brad when we left that I decided I would be the 'cool' aunt that will let the kids do things their parents won't. Brad said those 'things' should be drinking and smoking pot. hehehehe

  3. I missed the drinking water part! She looks hilarious in those pictures. You need to post pictures of last night, I didn't take any. Ooops!

  4. HA! Yes, her belly was hanging out, but in her defense ... that's what happens when you're moving all around while wearing a shirt or dress! :) And that pesky snap ... well it's good thing we have another Tech outfit. I don't think that onesie she was wearing will fit in a few weeks (or tomorrow!)

And you can be a 'cool' aunt without putting my child in danger - right?!? please ... nothing illegal. Water I can handle. But smoking pot? i draw the line!!
