Slumber Party & Cowboys!

I got tickets to the Cowboys game this weekend, so Bella spent Saturday afternoon and night at Grandma & Grandpa's house. They visited both sets of great grandparents and Bella was such a good girl!! She enjoyed her visit and looks forward to her next slumber party with Grandma and Grandpa! (it's just hard to pry that little girl from my arms ... )

We had a blast at the Cowboys game with Auntie Em and Uncle Jer! Sunday morning we woke up and went straight to see our Bella-boo! She's doing so good at sitting!!! Look at this ... doesn't that smile just melt your heart?!

idk my bff Purdy

Bella has become much more aware of her surroundings & our furry babies! She thinks Purdy is hilarious and loves to grab her ears and fur. She tries to reach for the cats, but they keep their distance. Purdy loves Bella and is always laying next to her!!

Don't worry Dad, Purdy is very gentile with Bella and just likes to kiss & observe!Bella is still sitting pretty ... or at least trying to. :) She's doing much better & can sit for 20 seconds or so without falling.Bella has started twisting and "scooting" ... she thinks she's so funny! She started on her playmat ... then ended up here.
...and when she is on her playmat, she likes to use her legs and topple it over! She ends up like a little burrito baby and loves it!
... then she wears herself out, rolls over, sucks her thumb and takes a nice nap. :)

In other news ... Bella loves her feet!!

We're still working on Tummy Time. Here she is at her best ... however this isn't usually how Tummy Times goes. It usually involves more tears & and her face in the blanket. :(

...still trying to roll over. That hasn't happened in a least a week. We decided today that we have a lazy baby! :)

Today, Daddy & Mommy took Bella to Babies R Us and Toys R Us for a Halloween costume, new spoons & new "big girl" toys! We got an adorable costume (although I'm keeping it a suprise !!) fun toys to help engage her while she's sitting & eventually standing AND new spoons. She still hasn't grasped the concept of eating cereal from a spoon. She won't open her mouth and makes a "yucky" face when the spoon is eventually pried into her mouth.

Tonight I tried to give her a spoon to play with and she "ate" it. Once there was cereal on the spoon she wasn't as interested. So I tried using my finger to scoop cereal into her mouth. That seemed slightly successful ... but very messy! :) We'll keep trying and hope for the best!

Bella is learning to sit ... although so far she can only do it for a few seconds. :) That's okay! She'll get it soon. She's made a lot of progress from just a few weeks ago!! She's getting so strong and we're so proud of her!! Here are some photos & videos. Enjoy!

Daddy and Aunt Jen's birthday!

Today we celebrated Daddy & Aunt Jen's birthday. We started the morning by going to the Arboretum with Aunt Jen, Uncle Brad, John and Grandma & Grandpa. It was beautiful there & we really enjoyed our morning! We also got some great photos!!

Then we headed to Grandpa & Grandpa's for a swim party!!

Happy 5 Month Birthday!

Today, at 10:25PM Bella turns 5 months old. It's hard to believe. Our little princess is growing up & getting so big and strong. I started to find my favorite picture from each month, but that was impossible. So instead I found a photo from each month that shows how much she's grown! All but one is in her carseat so you can really see how much she's changed.
